White suffers groin injury

Arsenal have suffered a significant setback during their current Premier League encounter against Sunderland.

The Gunners have begun the season strongly, but they have now lost key defender Ben White to an unfortunate injury.

White sustained a groin problem before halftime and was substituted by Jurrien Timber after the break.

Manager Mikel Arteta is expected to provide further details on White’s condition shortly, though early indications suggest he may be sidelined for an extended period.

Previously, White missed England’s World Cup campaign due to a knee injury and now faces the possibility of another lengthy absence.

England is scheduled to compete against Spain, Croatia, and the Czech Republic in the Nations League during the expanded international break.

While White’s participation remains uncertain, other Arsenal representatives such as Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, Declan Rice, Ezri Konsa, and Myles Lewis-Skelly are potential candidates for selection.

Before the international break, Arsenal must contend with matches against Ipswich Town and Brighton & Hove Albion.
