Arsenal are preparing to target a new left winger when the January transfer window opens.
The club signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge to strengthen their left flank this summer, and the striker has immediately justified the investment.
The Greek winger has contributed four assists in five appearances and has quickly become a fan favourite thanks to his steady performances.
Nevertheless, Arsenal remain active in the market for additional left-sided width following the departures of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.
Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Junior were both heavily pursued, but the Gunners were unable to secure either player’s signature.
Arsenal also declined to match Liverpool’s substantial offer for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The club are still intent on providing Tzolis with genuine competition, with Eberechi Eze having filled in as a temporary solution whenever the Greek has been rotated out of the starting XI.
