At least 27 individuals have died in a massive fire that engulfed a Bangkok bar, according to Thai media.
Firefighters were dispatched shortly after midnight and found patrons escaping through the front door, which was engulfed in flames.
Unverified footage captures flames erupting from the bar as a woman initially collapses to the floor before quickly rising to flee.
Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul informed journalists at the site that 27 people have died and several others are hospitalized, according to local media. He emphasized that the fire’s cause remains under investigation.
