Duluth, Ga. – The Atlanta Gladiators, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals, announced that the team has signed forward Mickey Burns for the 2026-27 season.

Burns returns to the Gladiators for his second full season of professional hockey. The Wayne, N.J., native recorded 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 66 games with Atlanta last season. He tied for the team lead in shorthanded goals with Alex Young. Burns debuted with the Gladiators late in the 2024‑25 campaign, posting three points (one goal, two assists) across 13 appearances.

The 26‑year‑old spent one season with the University of Vermont in 2020‑21, appearing in five games, and then played three seasons at Mercyhurst University from 2021‑24. Over those 126 games with the Lakers, he compiled 69 points (30 goals, 39 assists).
