Australia have won the toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh in the second T20I in Chattogram.
Captain Mitchell Marsh opted to set a target, contrasting the decision made by Bangladesh captain Towhid Hridoy during Wednesday’s series opener.
The host nation has introduced two changes to their lineup, resting Shoriful Islam and Mahedi Hasan to make room for fast bowler Nahid Rana and left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed. This match marks only Rana’s second T20I appearance, following his debut against the UAE over a year ago. Hridoy remains at the helm in the absence of the injured Litton Das.
Australia have made a single tactical adjustment, bringing all-rounder Aaron Hardie into the side for Xavier Bartlett to provide additional batting depth. This marks Hardie’s first international outing since facing South Africa last August. The inclusion of Hardie allows spin-bowling all-rounders Nikhil Chaudhary and Joel Davies to further cement their positions following their debuts in the first game.
Australia currently hold a 1-0 lead in the series after securing a four-wicket victory in the opening encounter.
