Riley Meredith makes a surprise return to One-Day Internationals for the first time in five years after Australia captain Josh Inglis opted to bat first following his toss victory over Bangladesh in the second ODI held in Dhaka.
Australia substituted opening bowler Liam Scott, who had debuted in the opening ODI, with Meredith, who was only added to the ODI squad on the morning of the match. Meredith, who has been with the team for the T20I series in Bangladesh after being included in the Pakistan ODI squad, is now available for today’s encounter.
The lineup also includes Marnus Labuschagne, who has been experiencing a dip in form, slated to bat at number seven.
The venue presents a distinct surface compared to the first match, where Inglis elected to bowl first after winning the toss.
