Autonomix Medical, Inc. (AMIX) announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted U.S. Patent No. 12,611,134 covering its platform for diagnosing and treating overactive bladder.

The patent, titled “Devices, Systems, and Methods for Diagnosis and Treatment of Overactive Bladder,” extends the company’s neural sensing and therapeutic technology into the urology market.

Overactive bladder affects an estimated 37 million Americans, contributing to high health‑care costs and reduced quality of life, according to the firm.

The patented platform enables a minimally invasive, catheter‑based approach—“Sense. Treat. Verify.”—that detects abnormal bladder nerve activity and delivers targeted therapy such as radiofrequency ablation or localized drug delivery. Treatment effectiveness is verified through real‑time electrophysiological feedback.

The patent also covers an implantable bladder device designed for long‑term monitoring of bladder pressure and electrophysiological signals, along with localized therapy capabilities.

Brad Hauser, Chief Executive Officer, said the patent expands the company’s neural sensing technology into a large new clinical indication and strengthens its intellectual property portfolio in nerve‑targeted therapies.

Autonomix Medical is a medical device company developing a catheter‑based neural sensing and ablation platform intended to diagnose and treat peripheral nervous system diseases via minimally invasive, precision nerve‑targeted therapies.

AMIX closed Wednesday’s session down 1.16% at $5.13, but was trading up 1.36% at $5.20 in the overnight market.
