Ava discussed her reasons for departing WWE, noting that it stemmed from a series of factors rather than a specific incident.

During her appearance on The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi, Ava addressed her decision to leave WooF.

“There wasn’t one specific event—it was a combination of ongoing factors that had been weighing on me for some time,” Johnson explained. “I am deeply grateful for my WWE experience. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But I felt it was time for a new chapter, one that required a different path. I don’t regret the choice and am genuinely happy with where I am now.”

Johnson announced her exit on January 30 by declining to renew her contract, marking her final WWE appearance on the January 27 NXT episode. This ended a six-year tenure with the company, during which she joined in 2020 and rose to become its General Manager in January 2024. A fourth-generation wrestler and daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, her career began on NXT before transitioning to an on-screen authority role.

WWE later acknowledged her contributions, thanking her for her “stellar work as Ava and beyond.”
