Baker Hughes Company (BKR), an oil and gas firm, announced that it has been awarded an agreement from BP (BP) to provide offshore stimulation services for its UK North Sea operations, supporting new well development and enhanced recovery from mature fields.
Under the agreement, the company will deploy a vessel‑based stimulation using its StimFORCE modular package to facilitate well completions and raise production rates.
Leveraging a UK base and an established local supply network, the solution aims to boost reliability, reduce downtime, and amplify recovery. The mobile platform adds versatility, allowing stimulation work to be executed efficiently.
In pre‑market trading on the NYSE early Thursday, the shares climbed 0.67 % to $43.88 after closing down 0.80 %.
