QUETTA: Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has said that even at the cost of his own life, he is prepared to resolve the province’s challenges, but serving the people remains his highest priority.
He warned of an orchestrated plot to blame the state for sowing mistrust and unrest by targeting innocent citizens, urging the opposition to critique his governance without exploiting the sacrifices of martyrs for political gain.
These remarks were made in an apparent response to opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s recent demand that he step down from the provincial government.
CM Bugti declared that the government and the people, through collective effort, would thwart such conspiracies, commending the daily sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, police, and other law‑enforcement agencies in the fight for peace.
He reaffirmed that his administration’s primary focuses are education, healthcare, employment, and sustainable development, while condemning terrorists who seek to mislead youth into a futile struggle.
During a condolence ceremony marking the eighth anniversary of Nawabzada Mir Siraj Khan Raisani’s death, Bugti stated that the nation remains firmly on a path of progress and that terrorism would not divert the government’s resolve.
Addressing foreign supporters, he said, “No matter how many martyrs like Siraj Raisani are lost, every household in this land will produce another defender of Pakistan.”
