Bank of Utah Championship Round 3 tee times: What to know

Jackson Koivun, a 21‑year‑old prodigy, is already poised for a long professional golf career, earning significant earnings and securing numerous tournament victories.

After a challenging second round on Friday, Koivun admitted he was fatigued following his appearance in the Presidents Cup and needed a strong performance to make the cut.

He responded by delivering a five‑birdie round, confirming his potential to thrive on the PGA Tour.

“Standing on 9 tee with 10 holes to go,” Koivun said, “I just told myself if I can make four or five birdies, I’ll be fine.”

He executed that plan, holing out five birdies, the last coming on the par‑5 18th. Facing a lie against rake lines in a left‑fairway bunker, he elected to go for the green. “I was like, I’m going to go for broke here,” he recalled. His second shot landed just past the green, setting up a 5‑footer that secured his progression to the weekend.

“I’m the type of person that, if I come out to a tournament, I come in here and I want to win it,” Koivun added. “So at the end of the day I was fighting hard to make that cut and just happy to say I did and have a chance this weekend to hopefully go put up two good numbers.”

Saturday’s third round will be broadcast live from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.
