FC Barcelona has reached a “total agreement” to sign a top young European talent in Jesse Bisiwu according to SPORT.

FC Barcelona has finalized a “total agreement” to acquire highly rated Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu, according to reports from SPORT and journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The deal brings six months of negotiations between Barcelona and Club Brugge to a close.
The transfer fee is reported to be €10 million ($11.4 million), with Club Brugge retaining a 30% sell-on clause.
Club Brugge’s negotiating position was weakened by the 18-year-old’s contract expiring in 2026.
With Bisiwu entering the final year of his deal, the Belgian club faced the risk of losing him for nothing next summer.
Barcelona has employed a similar strategy in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi, whose contract also runs until June 2027.
The Catalans are reportedly close to securing Adeyemi for a base fee of €23 million ($25 million) plus €7 million ($8 million) in add-ons.
Bisiwu’s move appears imminent, however. Paperwork is reportedly being finalized, and the teenager is expected to travel to Barcelona next week for a medical before officially joining the club.
The initial plan is for Bisiwu to feature for Barcelona Atlètic under Juliano Belletti, though he will first participate in Hansi Flick’s first-team pre-season camp.
Strong performances during that period could see him, like other youth prospects, earn an extended stay with the senior squad.
Bisiwu Represents a Strategic Investment for Barcelona’s Future
The acquisitions signal a clear strategic priority for Flick and Sporting Director Deco: bolstering the wide positions ahead of the 2026/27 season. Following the capture of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for €94 million ($80 million), the club is nearing deals for both Adeyemi and Bisiwu.
While the influx of wingers fuels speculation regarding Raphinha’s future amid reported interest from Saudi Arabia, the overarching philosophy is evident. Flick is building a squad defined by pace and directness, recognizing that elite modern teams require depth on the flanks to complement talents such as Lamine Yamal.
