Bears head coach Ben Johnson has concluded discussions regarding his offense’s remarkable Week 1 output.
During a press conference today, a reporter asked Johnson to reflect on the Bears’ 59-37 victory over the Panthers. Johnson immediately redirected the conversation, stating that the team’s attention is entirely on Sunday’s matchup against the Vikings.
“We haven’t scored any points this week,” Johnson remarked.
Johnson also dismissed speculation regarding his potential consideration of a two-point conversion on the Bears’ final touchdown, which would have brought the score to an even 60 points.
“Others suggested we go for two,” Johnson noted.
Johnson emphasized that he and his players remain laser-focused on the upcoming week rather than resting on the laurels of their previous victory, noting that this mindset is reflected in their current practice sessions.
“The determination in our players’ eyes was exactly right,” Johnson stated.
