Belgian Coach Pocognoli Named Scotland Manager

Following his dismissal by Monaco in early June, Pocognoli reflected on the experience, stating that he had gained valuable lessons and would approach his next role with calm and determination.

Monaco subsequently sought his services, impressed by his proactive style.

Pocognoli favours an attacking 3‑4‑1‑2 formation, describing it as a “dominant system that excels both with and without possession, featuring high pressing, counter‑pressing, and possession mastery.”

“Players are artists,” he remarked. “For an artist to deliver a compelling performance, they must be mentally and physically comfortable.”
