The Jacksonville Icemen, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild and the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild, have reached an agreement with forward Bennett MacArthur for the 2026-27 season.
MacArthur logged 42 games for the Icemen last season, recording 36 points (13 goals, 23 assists) for his best statistical season in the ECHL before an injury cut his year short. Now entering his fifth season in the league, MacArthur was acquired by the Icemen in 2025 when the Buffalo Sabers—Jacksonville’s NHL affiliate—brought his rights over from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
At 25, MacArthur previously played for the Wheeling Nailers, Orlando Solar Bears, and the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch from 2022 to 2025.
Prior to his professional career, MacArthur spent time with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League from 2020 to 2022, where he recorded 129 points (78 goals, 51 assists) over 120 games.
