“Our alternative data indicates that enterprise token consumption has grown at least 50% quarter-over-quarter among the largest AI Labs, with potentially faster growth among smaller ‘Born in AI’ clients,” noted analyst Peter Weed in a Monday client report. He added, “This, combined with recent consumer AI agent launches such as Muse and Dots, suggests our published long-term outlook may prove conservative compared to actual market developments.”

As consumer AI agents gain traction and user engagement increases, traditional Datadog enterprise customers are expected to see heightened observability needs, supporting further demand for the platform’s services.

Bernstein’s optimistic stance aligns with broader Wall Street sentiment. According to LSEG data, 46 of the 49 analysts covering Datadog maintain a buy or strong buy recommendation on the stock.

While acknowledging potential risks, Weed highlighted competitive pressures—particularly from open-source or in-house alternatives—as the primary concern. “Historically, once clients achieve scale, there has been a tendency to shift workloads internally. However, we believe the rapid-scaling AI Labs are unlikely to prioritize this migration in the near term, though it may present challenges over the longer term.”

Datadog shares have climbed roughly 82% year-to-date through Friday’s close.
