CARY, PAKISTAN: Biafo Industries Limited (BIFO) has officially transitioned its leadership, appointing Matin Amjad as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective July 1, 2026. The company disclosed this development in a formal notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
The appointment follows the resignation of Anwar Moin, who served as CEO until June 30. In a statement, the board of directors acknowledged Moin’s contributions to the organization and formally accepted his resignation.
Amjad’s appointment concludes a period of transition, as his employment terms, detailed in a ratified contract, were officially approved by the board during a meeting held on June 1, 2026. His strategy now involves building on the legacy established by Moin while steering the company toward future growth objectives.
Established in 1988, Biafo began commercial operations in 1994 and remains a prominent player in manufacturing and distributing commercial explosives and blasting accessories, including detonators and related equipment. The company continues to prioritize operational excellence and sustainable practices as it progresses under Amjad’s leadership.
