BMO Capital Markets initiated coverage of Astera Labs with an Outperform rating and a $375 price target, implying approximately 68% upside from the prior session’s close. Analyst Harsh Kumar views the company as a critical leader in AI networking infrastructure, arguing that the expanding scale and complexity of large AI clusters create significant bandwidth, latency, and distance requirements that Astera’s portfolio directly addresses.
Kumar highlighted the firm’s four product lines—Aries, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio—as key solutions for bottleneck challenges in networking and memory. He estimates Astera’s content value exceeds $1,000 per GPU or XPU accelerator, a figure poised to grow with each new platform generation.
The endorsement arrives after a sharp sector rotation pressured semiconductor equities. Astera shares have declined roughly 30% over the past three months, outpacing the 15% drop in the iShares Semiconductor ETF. Despite the pullback, Kumar contends the company remains well positioned to capture greater content attach rates from ongoing AI and cloud infrastructure deployments in the near term. Over the longer horizon, a strategic push into optics, rack-level solutions, and custom silicon is expected to become an increasingly meaningful revenue contributor.
The bullish stance aligns with broader Wall Street sentiment. According to LSEG data, 17 of the 24 analysts covering Astera Labs rate the stock a Buy or Strong Buy, while seven maintain Hold ratings.
