Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, located near Manchester, Tennessee, will not host its 2027 edition to allow its grounds to recover from storm damage, including flooding that disrupted this year’s event. Organizers announced the decision in a statement, confirming a return in 2028.
The 2026 festival faced significant challenges, with safety measures including set delays, area evacuations, and shelter-in-place advisories due to weather. The organizers highlighted upgrades such as improved drainage, 4.5 miles of new roadways, and 135 acres of grass added to enhance The Farm’s resilience. However, after consecutive years of storms, they emphasized the need for The Farm—particularly the main venue—to rest and recover.
“Taking a year off wasn’t an easy decision,” the statement notes. “But we believe this break will ultimately strengthen Bonnaroo for future years.”
