In August, the Killers frontman Brandon Flowers released his twangy country‑pop solo album Thrasher. Last night, at his Bristol Beacon show, he showcased an additional solo piece, “A Good Man Is Hard To Find,” which draws its title from Flannery O’Connor’s short story first published in 1953. He now joins artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Sufjan Stevens who have also written songs inspired by that tale.
Before performing the track, Flowers described the era during which he produced Thrasher**, a real fruitful period while he was working in Nashville. He mentioned that he has written and recorded two albums, noting that a second is slated for release in 2027. The set also featured a rendition of The Coral’s “Dreaming Of You.”
