NEW DELHI, Sept 12 (Reuters) — The BRICS nations have finalized a joint declaration that, while avoiding direct naming of specific countries, explicitly condemns unilateral warfare, according to four informed sources speaking to Reuters on Saturday.
The coalition, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates, is convening its annual summit in New Delhi this weekend.
Diplomatic representatives from member states have worked diligently to bridge the divide between Iran and the United Arab Emirates—nations standing on opposing sides of the Gulf conflict—to forge a unified consensus.
The national leaders are anticipated to endorse the declaration on Saturday, the sources confirmed.
