The Buffalo Bills have announced the addition of a running back who most recently excelled in the United Football League.
On Thursday, the Bills confirmed the signing of Ian Wheeler.
At 24 years old, Wheeler contributed to the Louisville Kings’ UFL championship victory and was named United Bowl MVP. In the 2026 season, he compiled 541 rushing yards on 83 carries across 11 appearances.
Wheeler’s NFL journey began as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2024, but a torn ACL in a preseason game sidelined him for the entirety of that year.
Following his rehabilitation, he spent time with the New Orleans Saints in 2025 before joining the UFL.
