Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has confirmed his dog Axel will remain in the region rather than relocate to No 10 Downing Street, explaining that his poodle-cross would not coexist peacefully with Larry, the Chief Mouser who has occupied the residence for 15 years.
