Candice Michelle recently described an unusual interaction with a fan.
In the 2000s, WWE divas faced limited opportunities and were often objectified, yet several women broke barriers and rose to prominence in the women’s division.
Candice Michelle wrestled for WWE from 2004 to 2009. Her striking appearance quickly made her a fan favorite, and she captured the Women’s Championship, cementing her status as a top star. Like many wrestlers, she dealt with odd fan encounters, which she recently recounted, noting that she handled the situation swiftly.
In a TMZ Inside The Ring interview, she recalled a fan who lingered excessively. She deflected the fan by claiming that Victoria was looking for him, prompting the fan to leave in search of Victoria.
“I did have this guy one time, and he was hanging out way too long. I was like, ‘Okay, buddy, you know, we gotta go.’ And he was there, and we were trying to get him away, but he wasn’t getting away. And so I said to him, ‘Oh, did you know that Victoria really wanted to see you, and she’s around the corner?’ Yeah, it was hilarious. Later at dinner, she was like, ‘There was this really weird guy who came up to me,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, my god.’ I sent him to you,” Michelle said. [H/T Sportskeeda]
Candice Michelle recalled advice John Cena once gave her
Throughout her WWE tenure, Candice transitioned from model to a leading figure in the women’s division. An injury raised concerns about her position, but John Cena offered guidance.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, she recalled Cena saying that the business continues with or without any individual, prompting her to prioritize her health.
“He said the business goes on with or without you.
That really stuck with me because at that time I was injured and worried about losing my spot. But it made me realize that you have to take care of yourself and think long-term, because the show will keep moving whether you’re there or not.”
It’s good to hear that John Cena supported a fellow WWE star during a challenging period.
