Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams, facing multiple weapons charges following his recent arrest in Canada, participated in the team’s first training camp practice.
Head coach Mike LaFleur declined to address Adams’ legal situation directly.
“I’m not going to comment too much on that,” LaFleur said during a video session with Bo Brack of PHNX_Cardinals. “Obviously, I’d appreciate you guys not really asking the questions with that. But he’s doing good and it was good to see him.”
Adams was charged with possession of a firearm obtained in a crime, possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm, carrying without a license while in possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of a prohibited device.
His attorney, Adam Weisberg, previously stated that Adams is “completely innocent in this matter.”
Police concluded an investigation on Friday into a male suspected of firearm possession and involvement in drug trafficking. Three additional individuals were arrested, including two charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
Adams, a native of Ajax, Ontario, was selected by the Cardinals in the third round of the 2024 draft out of Illinois. He started 11 games last season after beginning his rookie campaign as a starter in five contests.
