Carlito recently shared his assessment of Dominik Mysterio’s ongoing rise as a top main‑roster performer. Speaking with Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the veteran described Mysterio as “a rock star” and believes the young athlete is on a path to become a future WWE World Champion, provided he adds some muscle.
The two worked together while part of The Judgment Day, and Mysterio has since ascended to lead the faction following Finn Balor’s departure and Liv Morgan’s exit. Carlito noted the dramatic evolution of Mysterio’s character, emphasizing his transformation into a charismatic superstar.
“It’s remarkable to see how he’s turned into a superstar,” Carlito said. “I believe he could become one of the biggest names in the business if he continues to refine his presence.”
When questioned directly about Mysterio’s championship prospects, Carlito was unequivocal: “I think he can be a world champion if he just needs to gain some weight.”
He also discussed the possibility of returning to The Judgment Day if WWE offered him another role. Carlito recalled learning about Finn Balor’s exit and Mysterio’s betrayal via the group text that kept him in the mix, and he outlined how he initially joined the faction in a haphazard but ultimately successful manner.
“It all started as a random idea,” he explained. “They needed me for something, and the storyline unfolded from there. It felt spontaneous, yet it worked out well.”
