Carmen Villain Sets September Release Date for New Album ‘Memoria’

Ambient dub producer and clarinetist Carmen Villain has announced her upcoming album, Memoria, scheduled for release on September 4 through Smalltown Supersound. To mark the announcement, she has released the album’s lead single, “Entre Nosotros,” which can be heard below.

Serving as the successor to her 2022 release Only Love From Now On, Memoria takes its name from Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s 2021 film. According to official press materials, the project also draws conceptual inspiration from the work of electronic music pioneer Pauline Oliveros, specifically her writings regarding internally recalled sounds.
