The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission will explore the potential impact of artificial intelligence on derivatives markets during the first meeting of a new series hosted by its Innovation Task Force on October 28.

Released on Tuesday, the agenda draws on President Donald Trump’s description of advanced AI as “super intelligence.” The event will open the CFTC’s “Frontier Forum” series with discussions on how machine intelligence could reshape derivatives markets, price discovery and risk management.

“Super intelligence is poised to transform our financial markets,” CFTC Chairman Mike Selig said in a statement.

Task force officials said the forum will feature leaders from firms including Ornn, Architect and Liquid Compute.

Panelists will also examine how AI agents used by traders might operate within CFTC regulations.
