Third Vandalism Incident Shatters Channel 12 News Studio Entrance Door
<p>The glass entrance door of Channel 12 News studios in Tel Aviv was shattered on Sunday morning, representing a worrying escalation following two previous incidents of graffiti on the building.</p>
<p class="article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph">The event occurred amid heightened public debate and organized campaigns directed at the Israeli news outlet.</p>
<p>In recent weeks, right‑wing activists and government officials have displayed signs nationwide criticizing the news organization for its reporting on the Sde Teiman affair, while Channel 14 journalists have repeatedly aired hostile commentary about the channel.</p>
<p class="article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph">This discourse and its content have fomented incitement against Channel 12 and fostered a hostile atmosphere toward its staff.</p>
<p class="article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph">Channel 12 News sources described the act as an act of incitement and hatred that crossed established boundaries.</p>
<p>The damage was documented by Channel 12 photographer Roei Kastro, who posted a photo of the shattered door on social media, addressing the government and local authorities.<br> Kastro thanked the government, police and all involved, stating that this is what the country looks like, and added: “First week graffiti, second week graffiti, this time they already broke the door. What is the next step?”</p>
<p>At present, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.</p>
<p class="article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph">Channel 12 News is also reviewing security camera footage in an effort to identify the perpetrators.</p>
<p class="article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph">Michal Peylan, Channel 12’s welfare reporter, shared her comments on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the incident.</p>
<p class="article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph">Peylan wrote that any rational person whose heart remains intact and whose vision isn’t blinded by hatred recognizes the danger of living in a country where the government, its leader, the media minister, and the security minister remain silent about the violent attacks on journalists, and continue to incite against them.</p>
