Charli XCX Features Tinashe in Live ACL Festival Performance

Tinashe performed “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore” and “Melatonin” from her upcoming album Popstar during Charli XCX’s headline set.

Charli XCX invited Tinashe onto the stage at her ACL Festival headline performance on Friday, where she performed two tracks from her new album Popstar.

Earlier in the day, Charli hinted at Tinashe’s surprise appearance by dancing to her songs backstage at the Austin, Texas festival. A week earlier, during ACL Fest’s opening weekend, she brought out Troye Sivan for a duo of songs. This time, Tinashe delivered the live debut of “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore” and performed the *Popstar* hit “Melatonin.”

Charli XCX and Tinashe have known each other for a decade. Their collaboration began in 2015 when they appeared as guests on Ty Dolla $ign’s “Drop That Kitty.” Nine years later, they reunited for the “B2B” remix featured on Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat.

*Brat*, Charli’s sixth studio album, marks the peak of her journey from hit songwriter to critical darling to arena‑filling pop star, and Tinashe appears ready for a similar breakthrough with *Popstar*, her eighth studio album, which has already earned the strongest reviews and chart position of her twelve‑year career.
