Charli XCX has revealed the tracklist for her upcoming project Music, Fashion, Film, highlighting a notable collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker David Cronenberg. The pop artist shared the 11-song sequence via Instagram, listing each track’s runtime. The Cronenberg-assisted closing cut, “No One Lasts Forever,” spans nearly six minutes, making it the record’s longest offering.
The announcement arrived alongside a series of visuals, including a striking image of the artist posing with a white T-shirt printed with the tracklist in black lettering. The collection incorporates previously released singles “Wink Wink,” “Rock Music,” and “SS26,” with a release date set for July 24.
The monochromatic cover art, photographed by Aidan Zamiri, features musician John Cale, designer Marc Jacobs, and director Martin Scorsese posed together. Earlier this year, Charli offered a lyrical glimpse of “Rock Music” in an interview with British Vogue, sparking speculation about a heavier sonic direction. She subsequently clarified that she never claimed to be making a rock album, though she has emphasized a deliberate departure from the sound of her seminal 2024 release, Brat.
Beginning July 9, a global series of album listening parties will take place in independent cinemas across various cities, with RSVP details available through the artist’s official channels. The news follows last month’s confirmation of a North American tour slated for later this year.
In other recent developments, Charli was spotted socializing with Madonna in Paris, describing the encounter as “very inspiring” despite the pop icon’s prior “dancefloor is dead” remarks. The artist has also spoken candidly about mental health challenges, acknowledging volatile emotions and difficulty processing online discourse surrounding her work.
She is scheduled to make her headline festival debut at Reading & Leeds this August, topping the bill alongside Fontaines D.C., Raye, Florence + The Machine, Dave, and Chase & Status.
