Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen to Star in Multi-Cam Comedy ‘Happy Jack’ at AMC

Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen are poised to star as father and son in the multi‑camera comedy “Happy Jack,” which will debut on AMC and AMC+. According to industry reports, the series promises a heartfelt exploration of familial dynamics through a vibrant storybox.

Produced by AMC Studios, the mini‑series comprises six episodes and will begin filming in early 2027 at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles—precisely the same venue that once housed the popular sitcom “Friends.” The show is slated to launch nationally in 2027.

The official logline reads:
“Jack, a perpetual scavenger, battles his daughters’ futures while his rebellious son tests his limits. When an unexpected younger companion named Paul emerges, Jack faces a crucial decision: protect his own interests or become fully present for his family.”

We are eager to bring “Happy Jack” to viewers next year.”

The series is developed by Jim Patterson and Matt Ross, who also serve as executive producers and showrunners. Charlie takes on a significant supporting role alongside his iconic counterpart, Martin Sheen, who portrays Jack’s teenage brother, Sam. Additional executive production support comes from Todd Christopher, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum of The Tannenbaum Company, and 20th Television. AMC Studios handles production.

Since exiting “Two and a Half Men,” Charlie has continued to command audiences with memorable parts in “Anger Management,” “Wall Street,” and “Gettysburg.” Earlier collaborations include starring as Jon Howard opposite Michael J. Fox in “Spin City” and reprising the role of Jake in “Two and a Half Men.” Martin Sheen enjoys a distinguished career marked by multiple Emmy nominations, particularly for his standout performance in “The West Wing.”

Patterson and Ross have long worked together on “The Ranch” before joining forces again on this project. The duo’s combined experience positions “Happy Jack” as a compelling addition to the AMC comedy lineup.

Both actors are represented by their respective agencies: Charlie is managed by WME and Goodman Genow; Martin is signed with Paradigm. Writers Jordan Patterson and Nathan Ross join the executive production team, bolstering the creative vision behind this family-centered comedy.
