Pedro Neto news

Neto price set by Chelsea

Chelsea are prepared to sanction Pedro Neto’s departure this summer should a bid in the region of £54 million materialise. The decision comes in the wake of the club’s substantial £117 million outlay to secure Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, a signing expected to anchor the left flank.

Rogers’ arrival has accelerated a wider squad overhaul. Chelsea have already agreed to loan Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa with a conditional obligation to buy, while the emergence of Estêvão and the recent acquisition of Geovany Quenda provide ample cover on the right wing, rendering Neto surplus to requirements.

The Portuguese international has attracted concrete interest from two distinct quarters. Al-Hilal are understood to be willing to meet the £54 million valuation outright, though Neto is reportedly prioritising a move within Europe before considering a switch to the Saudi Pro League.

Manchester City represent the primary European suitor. Manager Enzo Maresca, who worked closely with Neto during his tenure at Stamford Bridge, is keen to reunite with the winger as a potential replacement for Savinho, who appears poised to join Tottenham Hotspur.
