AEW star Chris Jericho is expanding his acting resume, having been cast as The Hunter in the upcoming werewolf horror film I Am the Teeth.
Scott B. Hansen is directing the project for Epic Pictures Group’s Dread label, Deadline reports, with the wrestling icon set to play a central role.
Jericho stars as a bounty hunter who finds himself in conflict with a group of children determined to protect a werewolf. Some scenes have already been shot, with the remainder of production slated for 2027.
Speaking with Deadline, Jericho discussed his enthusiasm for the film and his longstanding love of the horror genre. He said,
“I’ve always been a huge horror fan, and I Am the Teeth has everything I love about the genre … scary monsters, gory kills … I’m having a blast digging deep as an actor.”
This announcement follows Jericho’s role in Lowell Dean’s 1980s-set horror film Dark Match, in which he portrayed a cult leader terrorizing professional wrestlers.
Jericho also recently appeared on Dexter: Resurrection as a serial killer who comes up against Dexter Morgan, played by Michael C. Hall.
