Mets prospect Chris Suero, a catcher and utilityman, is refining his swing while battling through a difficult Double-A campaign at Binghamton.

Though he has maintained a solid .346 on-base percentage, his .201 batting average remains a frustration as he works to adjust his approach at the plate.

“It’s been a tough year on that end,” Suero acknowledged during a recent road trip with Binghamton. “But I try to bring anything I can to the table, and I know if the average isn’t there, there’s other ways to help the team out.”
