In a recent interview with Flagrant, Cody Rhodes confirmed that he has officially re-signed with WWE, securing his long-term future with the organization.

While specific details regarding the terms and duration of the agreement were not disclosed, the former Undisputed WWE Champion revealed his intention to finish his in-ring career with the company:

Forgive me if this is breaking news and please edit it if I’m not allowed to share, which is fine. I just re-signed with WWE, so I’ll end my wrestling career [with WWE]

Rhodes also opened up about his professional relationship with WWE, explaining how it allows him the flexibility to pursue outside opportunities such as acting.

Say I do have another project. Say I got two other projects, whatever it may be. I’m able to take a step away and I’m able to collaborate with WWE and I’m able to come back home.

This announcement aligns with Rhodes’ previous statements that his next contract would be his final one, bringing a definitive close to a remarkable run that began when he returned to the company for WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

When queried about the financial dynamics of the industry, Rhodes shared his thoughts on the modern pay structure:

The wrestling economy is different now because there’s other places you can go wrestle.

The money in wrestling and sports entertainment is very good. And I feel like if you were my dad or any of these wrestlers we talked about on that list, you’d be shocked.
