Mariota, the team’s second‑string signal caller, started today’s matchup against the Colts in London due to Jayden Daniels’ elbow injury. However, he left in the first quarter after sustaining an injury and walked to the locker room, with rookie Athan Kaliakmanis taking over.
There has been no immediate update on the specific nature of Mariota’s injury, though it occurred when Colts defensive lineman Laiatu Latu landed on his lower right leg and forced it into an awkward position.
