Corn futures were trading lower on Thursday, with contracts down 2 to 3 cents by midday. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price retreated 2 3/4 cents to $4.82 1/4.
Export sales data released this morning showed 31,220 MT of old crop corn sold for the week, which provided limited support to the market. Despite the export figures, overall sentiment remained bearish as traders weighed profit-taking pressures against supply concerns heading into the planting season.
