Gap shares climbed roughly 7% in after-hours trading after the apparel retailer named Michael Francis as the new chief executive of its Old Navy division, effective November 2. Francis replaces Haio Barbeito, who held the role since 2022. The company also reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of 52 cents per share, surpassing the 48-cent consensus estimate from LSEG.
Marvell Technology edged lower despite posting better-than-expected second-quarter results. The chipmaker earned an adjusted 94 cents per share on revenue of $2.74 billion, compared with analyst forecasts of 93 cents on $2.71 billion.
Workday advanced about 2% after the enterprise software provider exceeded LSEG estimates on both revenue and earnings for the second quarter.
Rubrik tumbled 10% even though the cybersecurity firm beat second-quarter expectations and raised its outlook. The company reported adjusted earnings of 20 cents per share on $427 million in revenue, well above the 4-cent profit and $396 million in revenue analysts had projected.
Autodesk fell 6% after its third-quarter and full-year earnings guidance missed Wall Street targets. The design-software maker forecast adjusted earnings of $3.04 to $3.09 per share for the current quarter, below the $3.14 consensus. Full-year guidance of $12.52 to $12.60 per share also fell short of the $3.14 expected.
Elastic N.V. surged 15% after the data-analytics company issued full-year guidance that topped estimates. Elastic projects adjusted earnings of $3.29 to $3.37 per share on revenue of $1.998 billion to $2.010 billion, compared with analyst expectations of $3.24 per share on $1.99 billion. First-quarter results also exceeded forecasts across earnings, revenue, and operating income.
SentinelOne dropped nearly 7% after the cybersecurity firm issued a weak current-quarter and full-year earnings outlook, overshadowing a second-quarter beat on both the top and bottom lines.
