Corn futures posted mixed trade at the close on Thursday, with contracts ranging from a penny dip to a 1¼‑cent rise. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price settled at $4.14 ¾.
USDA’s Export Sales report from this morning indicated 1.304 MMT of 2026/27 corn were sold in the week of 10/22, within the expected band of 0.8‑1.6 MMT. The amount fell 14.6 % versus last week and 28.8 % below the same week last year, with a buyer of 411,800 MT unidentified; 318.90 MT moved to Mexico and 251,000 MT to Japan.
Dec 26 Corn closed at $4.51 ¼, down ½ cent.
New Crop Cash was $4.43 ¾, down ¾ cent.
