Corn Prices Hover Near Friday Open as Gains Stabilize
Corn futures declined slightly on Friday morning, trading 1 to 2 cents lower early in the session. Despite the early pullback, the contracts had shown resilience during the previous trading day, closing Thursday with most of their intraday gains preserved. Across the front-month contracts, prices were up 1 to 5 ¾ cents, signaling continued strength ahead of the first market close of the week. Open interest declined by 23,012 contracts on Thursday, with the rest of the trading board also reporting similar reductions, suggesting a cautious approach among market participants heading into the weekend.
