Costco’s 5.5-Pound Chocolate Frankenstein Head Packed With Gummy Candy Becomes a Halloween Hit

A massive chocolate Frankenstein head filled with gummy candy, sold for $55 at Costco, has taken social media by storm.

The oversized Halloween treat weighs 5.5 pounds and comes with a mallet designed to smash the monster’s head and reveal the gummy candies inside, which are shaped like body parts.

The “Monster Mash Chocolate,” produced by Ten Acre Gifts, is priced at $54.99 at the warehouse retailer and sells for more than $60 online, though it appeared to be sold out on Costco’s website Saturday evening.

According to the label, each serving contains 150 calories, with 25 servings per container.

While some Halloween fans were thrilled with the novelty treat, others felt it was a bit over the top.

On Instagram, one user said they’d consider purchasing it if hosting a Halloween party, while another commented: “Hard pass but would make a great prank Christmas gift.”

“Costco looked at Halloween and said, ‘What if a piñata… but medically concerning?'” one person joked on X.

Another X user wrote: “This is now a priority need in my life…”

“Imagine explaining to someone that your Halloween candy comes with its own demolition tool,” one person posted on X, while another added, “A hammer for Halloween candy is insane. Costco was like, safety can wait.”

The product was even selling on eBay for as much as $100.
