VICTORIA, British Columbia — Kyle Cottam established a PGA Tour Americas record on Saturday, culminating in a 12-under 58 at the Digital Commerce Group Open. The milestone included an impressive eagle on the 16th hole, holed from 108 yards.
This marked the second consecutive year a sub-60 round was recorded at Uplands Golf Club, following A.J. Ewart’s 59 during the Victoria Open last year.
Cottam recorded six birdies over a seven-hole stretch, carding a 29 on the front nine. He continued his exceptional play through the final four holes, shooting 4 under with the eagle on the 16th, before securing par from just off the green on the 18th hole.
“I was absolutely surprised,” Cottam remarked. “You don’t just wake up in the morning expecting to shoot 58.”
The round was the sixth sub-60 score on the PGA Tour Americas since 2024. Sub-60 rounds have also been recorded on the Canadian Tour, including a 58 by Jason Bohn in 2001.
This brings the total number of sub-60 rounds in 2026 to five, comprising one on the PGA Tour, two on the Korn Ferry Tour, and two on the PGA Tour Americas.
