The day after an embarrassing home loss to the Cardinals—who have never lost at AT&T Stadium—many of the Cowboys’ players skipped a scheduled locker‑room media availability. “The Cowboys just had locker room availability, but majority of roster left the facility before we got in there,” Jon Machota of The Athletic said. “No players were interviewed. Can’t say I remember that happening before.”
There’s an explanation. Via Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas Morning News, the “player programs ended earlier than scheduled, which is why the locker room was almost empty during media availability.”
Making players available in the locker room is one of the basic weekly obligations for all teams. Whatever the reason, few players seemed inclined to discuss Sunday’s defeat.
Especially since the Cowboys blew a 14‑point lead at home for the first time in franchise history, and the Cardinals—despite being a two‑win team—have inexplicably dominated the Cowboys in recent matchups.
