Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens reported to the team facility for his physical on Monday, confirming his presence at the upcoming mandatory minicamp, according to multiple media outlets.
The Cowboys’ minicamp schedule extends from Tuesday through Thursday.
Pickens missed the team’s voluntary activities following the franchise tag placed on him during the offseason. Nevertheless, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed confidence that Pickens would attend the minicamp.
“I expect he’ll be here,” Schottenheimer said on June 4. “I think he’s in a good spot, but, again, I know he’s handling his business. I know he misses his teammates, and we miss him, too.”
Pickens, 25, signed his franchise tag on April 29, securing a 2026 contract with a guaranteed salary of $27.3 million.
He entered the offseason on a high note, having recorded a Pro Bowl season in 2025 with 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns—a career best over 17 games (15 starts) in his first year with Dallas.
The franchise tag was applied to Pickens on Feb. 27, marking the Cowboys’ first use of the tag since 2023 when they placed it on running back Tony Pollard.
Pickens was a second‑round selection by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022 out of Georgia and joined the Cowboys following a trade after last season. His career totals include 267 receptions, 4,270 receiving yards, and 21 touchdowns across 65 games (55 starts).
