The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, have signed forward Liam Kidney for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The agreement marks Kidney’s first full professional campaign with the organization.
Kidney, 25, debuted with Cincinnati late last season following the completion of his collegiate career at Acadia University. Across 19 appearances, he tallied eight points (4g-4a) to close out the 2025-26 campaign. The forward notched his first professional goal on March 21, 2026, against the Fort Wayne Komets and ended the season riding a three-game point streak.
Prior to turning pro, Kidney accumulated 79 points (26g-53a) with the Acadia Axemen. In his final university season, he posted a career-high 28 points (7g-21a) and ranked second in team scoring. At the junior level, the 25-year-old suited up for four clubs in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League — the Cape Breton Eagles, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Drummondville Voltigeurs, and Rimouski Océanic — amassing 80 points (31g-49a) over 193 career games spanning five seasons.
