Comedian Dave Chappelle is set to embark on a highly anticipated tour this fall, performing his new comedy special, Karmageddon, across seven select dates in October and November. The tour will culminate in a landmark performance at the 22nd New York Comedy Festival, held at Madison Square Garden.
The tour officially kicks off on October 20 in Nashville, Tennessee, and will traverse both the United States and Canada. Chappelle is scheduled to perform in major cities including Charlotte, Toronto, Louisville, Austin, and Houston, before concluding the run in New York on November 6 as the opening act for the New York Comedy Festival at Madison Square Garden.
Caroline Hirsch, the founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival, praised the legendary comedian, stating, “Dave is one of the defining comedians of his generation and, without question, one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time. To have Dave close out his tour by opening our festival is spectacular.”
In a unique twist, Karmageddon will be a completely tech-free experience. According to the official press release, all attendees must secure their electronic devices, including smartphones and smartwatches, in Yondr pouches upon entry. These pouches will remain locked until the conclusion of the show. Any audience member caught using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue, though devices can be unlocked in designated areas within the venue if urgent needs arise.
General admission tickets will go live on Thursday, September 17, at 12:00 p.m. local time via Live Nation. Additionally, Citi cardholders will have exclusive access to a special presale starting on Wednesday, September 15, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Chappelle has maintained an incredibly active schedule throughout 2026. The summer season saw him performing extensively, including a return to his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio, for the sixth annual Summer Camp outdoor comedy event. In August, he hosted the Diaspora Calling! Festival in London, which showcased performances by musical icons Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, though their set was infamously cut short due to a noise ordinance—a decision Chappelle publicly criticized.
Recently, Chappelle joined an impressive lineup of comedians at the “NYC Still Rising After 25 Years: A 9/11 Charities Comedy Benefit,” performing alongside Jon Stewart, Nikki Glaser, Aziz Ansari, and Bill Burr. His critically acclaimed comedy special, The Unstoppable, was released last December.
