South African all-rounder Ruan de Swardt has committed to Leicestershire for the remainder of their One-Day Cup campaign.
Initially recruited for the Foxes’ final three T20 Blast fixtures and the opening three matches of the 50-over competition, he will now remain for the remaining five group-stage encounters.
De Swardt will also stay with the squad through to the semi-finals, provided the Foxes reach the last four.
The 28-year-old posted a career-best List A score of 126 in a 21-run loss to Lancashire on Sunday, having later taken 4-49 alongside a five-wicket haul against Surrey on Friday.
