Devin Haney has finalized a significant partnership with DAZN, sources indicate, as negotiations approach completion.
The boxer, who achieved three-division world champion status by defeating Brian Norman Jr. for the WBO welterweight title last November, remains linked to potential matchups against Keyshawn Davis and Shakur Stevenson.
A mandatory challenge against Davis has been officially scheduled by the WBO for July 27, with ancillary details expected to follow.
Haney’s father and corner trainer, Bill Haney, confirmed to ThaBoxingVoice:
“Our promotional arrangement is finalized, and we anticipate an announcement soon. Devin’s agreement was reached in principle earlier, though public disclosure is pending.
“Typically, the announcement timing follows confirmation of the opponent, as that constitutes the critical element. Subsequent details, including whether a victory would enable further high-profile opportunities, will shape the narrative of this partnership.”
DAZN’s recent expansion in boxing, exemplified by Teofimo Lopez’s direct signing, appears to have influenced Haney’s decision.
Sources confirm Devin Haney is finalizing a “landmark” multi-fight deal directly with DAZN.
This could position him as a marquee DAZN exclusive. #Boxing
