On most charts, Drake often competes with himself, given his extensive catalog of hits and record-breaking achievements on Billboard’s hip-hop and rap-focused tallies. Earlier this year, the Canadian rapper made history by releasing three albums—Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti—which all debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the first time an artist occupied the top three spots simultaneously. Months later, Drake continues to promote these releases with multiple singles climbing radio charts.
“2 Hard 4 the Radio” Climbs to No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay Chart
The track “2 Hard 4 the Radio” ascended from No. 2 to No. 1 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, reaching the summit eight weeks after its debut. This chart tracks total audience impressions on rhythmic radio stations, which blend hip-hop, R&B, and occasional pop and dance influences. The song is part of a wave of Drake’s current singles gaining traction across U.S. radio formats.
Drake Swaps Chart Positions with His Own Tracks
With “2 Hard 4 the Radio” claiming the top spot, Drake’s previous leader “Janice STFU” dropped to second place after two weeks at No. 1. Drake now holds both the No. 1 and No. 2 positions on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. Additionally, his single “Shabang” climbed from No. 18 to a new peak of No. 14, potentially setting up another top 10 entry soon.
Milestone Forty-Fifth No. 1 Solidifies Drake’s Dominance
“2 Hard 4 the Radio” marked Drake’s forty-fifth No. 1 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, a record unmatched by any other artist. The second-place act, Rihanna, has only 17 No. 1s, while The Weeknd and Chris Brown each have 16. Drake’s lead over his closest competitors continues to grow significantly.
“2 Hard 4 the Radio” Breaks Into Top 10 on Multiple Charts
The single also achieved new peaks on four other Billboard charts. It entered the top 10 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for the first time, rising from No. 11 to No. 9. This became Drake’s ninety-third top 10 on that specific ranking. “Janice STFU” followed, reaching No. 2 on the same chart, while “Shabang” improved to No. 15.
Drake Nears Additional Chart Milestones
“2 Hard 4 the Radio” climbed from No. 14 to No. 11 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, edging closer to a top 10 debut. On the Rap Airplay chart, it moved from No. 5 to No. 4, with “Shabang” rising from No. 10 to No. 8. The track also reached a new peak of No. 37 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart, while “Janice STFU” returned to its previous high of No. 23.
